We just took Dan Clark’s new and improved Lotus Spring design live.  Dan had an existing design that was very nice, but much too narrow.  We improved it by making it almost twice as wide, adding bottom bars and adding some serious customization options.  The logo was improved from the original.

An updated version of Lotus Spring is in the works.  It will allow you to choose

• The background image and colors
• The color of the menu bars and bottom bars
• Color of the menu bar text
• Colors of headers (See office info in the picture)
• A header logo (if any)
• Whether to include a header name (or not).
• Whether to include your site’s slogan/tagline (or not).

Stay tuned, this will be a good one.

The Ayla Theme as used on Ayla Yavin's Website

Ayla Yavin had a beautiful site for her Manhattan Acupuncture Clinic, but it wasn’t very easy to work with.  We adapted it to work with our system, and it looks gorgeous.  Some features:

• Random top header images with a watermarked text overlay.
• Beautiful typography that is also SEO compliant.  After the page loads, the titles, menus, and header overlay are subsituted with graphics.  This allows us to use a font that’s not otherwise available.
• Dynamic menus
• Font sizing and spacing for the menus.
• Color selection of headers, menu text, and menu highlights.
• Font sizing for the watermarked clinic name and clinic tagline/slogan.

This turned out to be a popular design – so far three other people have chosen to use it.  For example, Kellie Krasovec is using some beautiful pictures.  However, it may not be used in the New York Tristate Area, out of respect for the originality that Ayla chose to share.  Also, please do not duplicate the exact look of Ayla’s site.  There is a lot of opportunity to develop your own look.

  Peaceful Garden

  A personalizable rotating header image.  Use photos of your clinic, Oriental medicine, or whatever you like.  A built in wizard helps you upload and crop a photo within a minute or two.

• A super-clean design.
• Two sidebars.  Use one for a menu, the other for a short bio and picture, or a newsletter signup form – or both!
• Standard website features such as sitemaps, and virtually unlimited photos and pages, such as this one →
